Grants Program Open for COVID-19 Relief

 

Bayou Community Foundation (BCF) is now accepting grant requests from qualified 501c3 nonprofit organizations and local government agencies to address critical unmet needs in Lafourche Parish, Terrebonne Parish and Grand Isle, Louisiana resulting from the COVID-19 health and economic crisis.   Completed applications for Phase 1 of the COVID-19 Relief grants program are due via email by Monday, April 13, 2020.

Federally approved tax-exempt nonprofit organizations in good standing serving residents of Lafourche Parish, Terrebonne Parish, and/or Grand Isle are eligible to apply. Local government agencies administering programs directly to residents in Lafourche, Terrebonne and Grand Isle are also eligible to apply.

Grants shall be awarded strictly to support or expand programs that directly address critical needs arising from the impacts of the COVID-19 health crisis and loss of economic activity in our region, and serve only Lafourche, Terrebonne and/or Grand Isle residents. This may include but is not limited to programs such as food and medicine distribution, rent/utility assistance, mental health counseling, health care, and employment assistance.
