On August 6, 2026, BCF’s ANCHOR the Bayou Leadership Cohort hit the road again, exploring the many community assests that make South Terrebonne so special. From the Terrebonne Parish Library System South Regional Branch to David Chauvin’s Seafood Company, LLC and Clanton Chapel UMC- Dulac, Louisiana, cohort members experienced firsthand the people, places and partnerships that strengthen this amazing community while identifying opportunities to build social resilience. Along the way, we heard from organizations including Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government Housing Community Development, South Louisiana Medical Associates, the Dulac Community Center, the United Houma Nation, and the École Pointe-au-Chien. We also toured HAP Organization‘s Mobile Unit, Fletcher Technical Community Colleges Mobile Training lab and Terrebonne General Health System‘s CARE Unit. We wrapped our day up by highlightening BCF’s own Rebuild the Bayou initiative and saw several of the 28 new storm-resistant homes built in Dulac thorugh this program.
